Delays with express listing emails
It was brought to our attention yesterday that users who had submitted an express listing were not receiving a confirmation email even when their listing had been accepted.
This was due to an error on our website and we have manually sent out emails to anyone affected by this issue.
What was the problem?
On the UK Locate business directory, we offer two ways to list your business. We provide free listings to everyone, and you are more than welcome to take advantage of this.
The downside to free listings is we receive a LOT of suggested listings every day. This can lead to a backlog of listings that we need to work through.
We offer express listings for a one time fee (£5) and these listings will be reviewed within 24 hours. The review usually takes place on the same business day. Once we approve the listing we send out a confirmation email. This is the part that failed.
When we approved listings confirmation emails were not being sent and this lead to some people believing their listing had not been accepted.
How do I know if my listing has been accepted?
You can always check the status of a listing you have suggested from within your account area. From your account, you can view all your listings along with their status. If they are showing as live, they have been approved.
